Just a quick note to loyal readers. I’ve created a new product called Screen Capture magic that shows you how to take Camstudio or Camtasia videos at the right resolution to get it looking fantastic on DVD and on TV.
There are a few steps involved but I’ve managed to do everything with free software and now its in the book.
So get a quick look over at Screen Capture Magic now.

In my irregular exploring of my gmail account I came across an article that mentioned Camstudio. I’ve used the software before but it had problems. However some clever soul has grabbed the source code and fixed the errors, fixed some of the problems and also added a redirect URL feature. It’s been released and a quick search with google will find it.
There are a few enterprising people who are reselling it for a few dollars here and there but if you are quick you can get it for free by signing up to Nicheaday

If you’ve got a need to redo some portrait photographs and photoshop is just not making it easy then this tool is the ideal solution.
Portrait Professional.
Having played with the demo for a while I’m just waiting for my paypal account to fill up again with BBG sales before I buy it outright. However grab the trial version now from this link and see what you think? It’s utterly amazing! I’ve only seen one other tool that comes close to this (that was freeware as a photoshop/irfanview plugin) but this is the neatest thing I’ve seen for months.

Interesting use of technology yet again. A company has decided to put 35, yes 35 beginner video guitar lessons online that can be downloaded and watched with iTunes or on a video iPod. This just gets better and better. Click this link for the story.
